The Arnold Palmer Invitational PGA Golf Competition which is presented by MasterCard is now a days a tournament that is gaining more and more audience. Also it bears a special aura in professional golf. The tournament, one of the premiere-event jewels on the PGA Tour, annually attracts one of the strongest fields of the season to one of the circuit's finest courses with the entire production overseen and directed by one of the game's all-time greats - Arnold Palmer. The competition takes place at the Bay Hill Club and Lodge located at Orlando Florida.
Besides including one of the best locations and one of the nicest views, the tournament also includes a great purse. The total purse for the competition is $5.8 million with a winner share of $1,044,000 and besides this, there are 500 FedEx Cup points for the winner.

The best part of this event is that the proceeds for the event benefit the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and the Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies. The living legend, Arnold Palmer, thru his philanthropy, will leave a lasting legacy for the local institutions in the Central Florida area.

Most Orlando area vacation home rentals in Kissimmee and Davenport are about 25 minutes from the Bay Hill Course. One can park at Universal and ride the bus over to the event or purchase an on-site parking pass for the course. Either way, considering the normally beautiful weather and the entertaining golf, this is one of the area's best events.
