The World Golf Championships are a series of four prestigious golf events featuring the world's best golfers. The events in the series are designed and sanctioned by the International Federation of PGA Tours, which consists of the leading professional golf tours in the world.
These international events attract world-class players such as Tiger Woods, Vijay Singh, Sergio Garcia, Phil Mickelson, Colin Montgomerie and many others. These are the events that will take place: Acceture Match Play Championship, Bridgestone Invitational, Ryder Cup, American Express Championship, PGA Championship, Arnold Palmer Invitational, WGC CA Championship, The Masters and World Cup.
The PGA Tour is the organization responsible of managing and organizing the major golf competitions in the United States and is the headquarter office is located in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, a suburb of Jacksonville.

The WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship is one of the annual World Golf Championships for male professional golfers. It is a knockout event and is staged in January or February each year. It is sponsored by and named after Accenture, a consulting firm. This year the tournament is going to take place from February 15th until February 21st at The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club located at the Dove Mountain – Marana, Arizona.
From its inauguration in 1999 through 2006 it was hosted every year by La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California, except in 2001, when it was hosted by the Metropolitan Golf Club in Victoria, Australia.
